Hairstylester covers the hands-on side of beauty, hair, makeup, and nails, but the part I’m proudest of isn’t any single article. It’s how they get put together. I’m Paige Sullivan, and I’d rather show you the process than make claims about it.
How these guides get made
Every piece starts with research. I read widely, gather what pros and product makers actually say, and weigh it against how a look holds up once a normal person tries it at a bathroom mirror, mine included. I’m an enthusiast who does the homework, not a stylist trading on a license, so I lean on evidence rather than authority.
Then comes drafting. I write in plain language, flag when something is high-maintenance, and note when a trend is worth trying or better skipped. Before anything publishes, I review it for two things especially: accuracy, and whether the advice works across different hair types, skin tones, and skill levels rather than one narrow default.
Nothing here is frozen. When products change, techniques improve, or a reader points out a gap, I go back and update the guide. Good beauty advice ages, and it should be maintained like anything else you rely on.
